It's business time!!

After a fairly lazy day on Friday, consisting of one 9am class and avoiding the rain, I went out with a bunch of kids from my building to go see Barefoot Truth live in concert. (Trust me when i say that listening to their album does NOT do them justice).
The opening bands- The Sepiatones and Oneside - were alright, until the guy playing the banjo went nuts, then it just sounded like I should have been square dancing. We all kind of looked at each other and weren't really sure what to do while the music was playing. But oh well, it was still fun to dance like an idiot to. We all just didn't seem to care what any one else thought, we wanted to MOVE!
The crowd began to grow bigger and closer to the stage as the moment neared. I was excited for a few reasons: 1. This would be one of the first concerts that I would not get run over by other kids moshing or skanking like idiots in the pit. 2. And because of that I would really get to appreciate the music. 3. BAREFOOT TRUTH was going to play (duh!)
Then the big moment was finally here! Barefoot Truth took the stage! The array of instruments they played was incredible. Just a list to note : lapsteel guitar, bongo drums, cello, bass guitar, digeridoo, keyboard, full on drum set, harmonica, banjo, electric guitar& acoustic guitar. These guys were incredibly talented. I have to say that the $8 I spent on that ticket, were most definitely worth it. I would HIGHLY suggest that if they come up again ( which I have heard they come up quite often) that anyone and everyone go!
As an encore the guys came back on stage, one wearing some sweet plastic sunglasses. They began a slow steady beat, getting the crowd pumped for another set. When out of the blue, they began doing a cover of 'The Flight of the Conchords' song "It's Business Time". At that point I was so stoked, Flight of the Conchords are one of my favorite groups (despite their awkwardness and nonsense songs).
So all in all, Barefoot Truth is just a feel good band and really will bring out the "vermonter" in you ( no matter what your taste in music)
