21 Steps
Wow, I really liked this a lot! I loved how it incorporated Google Earth to show the story. It was really neat to actually know where this guy was and how he got to certain places. Being able to follow him on the train and airplane made me feel like I was actually there with him, in a crazy way. I thought this was a wicked sweet way of telling a story, and if I knew how to do use Google Earth in this way, I would totally use it more often for projects. I also liked how you could click around sometimes to see what the guy was actually seeing. For instance, when we first met the guy and he was near the statue, we got to see what that actually looked like. It was a great way of putting the reader into the story.
Another thing I liked about this story, or whatever it is, was the story itself. I love suspense stories that make me sit on the edge of my seat. Every time a little blurb came up, I found myself wanting to read what came next. The tension that built up during this made me want to read more and more. I was kinda mad that I didn't get to finish it in class, but luckily, I finished it at home :). I especially loved the ending where no one died and it was all just a big joke. They were just testing him to see if he qualified for one of Ponytails jobs, and I thought that was brilliant.
If this ever happened to me, I don't know what I would do! Getting a vile of something to smuggle on the plane would freak me out, and knowing my luck, someone would catch me with it. I just know it. I wouldn't have been smart enough to get the insulin shots before I boarded the plane to disguise the vile. I would have just walked on the plane like it was no big deal. Ultimately, that probably wouldn't have worked out for me as well as disguising it. O well!! Hopefully, I'm never put in this situation!
